What if I have two dogs?
No sweat. The session fee increases by $50 for each additional dog to cover film and processing. So, two dogs would be $200 instead of $150.

How long will it take to make an appointment?
It depends on the time of year and what other commitments I have. Usually, though, I'm able to do the shoot the same week you call to make an appointment.

Do you shoot on weekends?
Yes, on Saturdays. If you want a Saturday shoot you should book early because that is a very popular day and fills up quick.

What time of day do you shoot?
Early in the morning or late in the afternoon. The light is ideal for shooting at those times.

What do I need to prepare my dog for the photo shoot?
I always recommend that the dog is taken for a long walk before the shoot. That helps them to rest a little and ensures that they will be more receptive to being photographed.

Do I need to bring anything?
I like to have a couple of the dog's favorite toys (Frisbees, old shoes, tennis balls, etc.) with them to include as props in the photographs. If your dog gets cold easily, you might want to bring a blanket or something that will provide warmth. Dog biscuits and treats are good, but I only like to use them as a last resort--once the dog's interest is on the treat it's hard to get them back to a natural state. Oh yeah, something in which to store the dog's recycled food products.

Should I have my dog groomed?
You don't have to. Again, I want the dog to be as natural as possible. If they get wet, they get wet. If they roll around in the grass and are having fun, that's what I'm trying to accomplish.

Can I be in the photo with my dog?
Yep. I don't discriminate against humans.

Can you photograph my cat?
Why not! I'd be more than happy to do that for you. The same fee structure applies for cats as it does for dogs.

Do you offer framing?
Yes I do. In fact, I work with a local framer who creates his own unique, hand-crafted frames made specially for my prints. Each frame is different and you won't find them anywhere else. When you come in to order your prints, you'll have the opportunity to order frames at the same time. That makes it pretty easy, because when you get the prints back, they'll already be framed and ready to hang. I actually prefer that the images leave the studio in one of our frames because I consider the frame an integral part of the art-they are exactly how I would display the photographs for myself!

Do you offer gift certificates?
Absolutely. I personally print and place the certificate in a vellum envelope, which can be mailed directly to you once payment has been received.

Can you do Christmas Cards?
Sure. I offer a discounted rate for borderless 4 x 6 machine prints. If you'd like further information, give me a call or ask me when you stop in the studio.

Do you take credit cards?
At this time, we don't.
